BALKAN WEDDINGS
Two cultures. One story. Timeless imagery.
Balkan weddings in Switzerland
Balkan wedding photographer in Switzerland for Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian and mixed weddings – in a modern, editorial visual language. I accompany you personally, in German and in Serbian/Croatian.
Wedding photographer from Solothurn, working all over Switzerland.

EDITORIAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Eine Handschrift. Viele Hochzeiten.

ABOUT ME
I speak your language – and photograph quietly.
With you, your parents and the kum I speak German or Serbian/Croatian – on the phone before the wedding and on the day itself. I understand your Swiss guests just as well.

Solothurn, working all over Switzerland
Photographically, I combine modern fine-art photography with real emotion: I work discreetly, observe a lot and step in rarely. For portraits I give clear, calm direction so you don’t have to pose.

BALKAN WEDDINGS & TRADITIONS
Five chapters – and no two days are alike
Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian and mixed weddings have their own rhythm. Some begin in the morning with both families, others only at the church, the mosque or the registry office. We discuss beforehand what belongs to your day – these five chapters show what I pay attention to.

01
Preparations
02
Collecting the bride and family
03
Ceremony
04
Portraits and reception
05
Celebration and dancing
The quiet hour before everything: the dress, the suit, the mother’s hands on the veil. Often in two places – then we plan the routes or a second photographer.
Orthodox with crowns and a shared cup, Catholic, Nikah or registry office. I clarify beforehand with the priest, imam or registry office where I may stand.
Half an hour for the two of you, calm and editorial. Then kum and kuma, parents, friends – with a group list so no one is missing.
The entrance, the speeches, the first dance, the first kolo. I understand the speeches and know when the line everyone is waiting for is coming.
More on the Orthodox ceremony in the blog: Hochzeit und Taufe in der Serbisch-Orthodoxen Kirchgemeinde Zürich

Frequently asked questions
Will you speak with our parents in our language?
Yes. I speak German and Serbian/Croatian. We’ll hold the consultation in whichever language you prefer – happily together with your parents.
Do you photograph in the Orthodox church?
Yes. Before the ceremony I check with the priest where I may stand, and I follow the parish’s rules. With the rings, the crowns, the shared cup and the walk around the altar, I know when the moment is coming.
We have over 200 guests. Is one photographer enough?
For the ceremony, portraits and celebration, yes. If you’re getting ready in two places in the morning, I recommend a second photographer so both families get their photos. We’ll make a list for the group photos beforehand.
We’re having a civil ceremony first and a big celebration later. Is that possible?
Yes. For the registry office there are shorter packages from CHF 690. If you book the full wedding coverage within 18 months, I’ll credit the full amount of the civil ceremony package.
Do you also photograph weddings in Serbia, Croatia or Bosnia?
Yes. Weddings abroad have their own prices including travel and accommodation: one day from CHF 5’400, two days from CHF 7’200.
